Frame House by Studio AVC is an architectural triumph that masterfully blends modernity with the historical context of its surroundings. Nestled in a conservation area among Victorian properties, the project stands out for its innovative design choices, not least of which is its creative use of Vande Moortel NATURE7 Brick J—a material that significantly enhances both the aesthetic and structural aspects of the home.
Winner of the 2022-2023 Clay Paver Award in Residential gardens
After a decade in their newly built home, the residents found their garden lacking both aesthetic appeal and functional versatility. Recognizing the potential for a beautiful and functional outdoor area, the clients sought a complete transformation that would align with their lifestyle. Matthew Childs Garden Design said yes to the challenge and guided the transformation with their “Gardens are for People” philosophy, creating a beautiful green garden retreat. Successfully completing this challenge, this project won the 2022-2023 Clay Paver Award in the category of Residential gardens.

Pascal Bilquin and Guy Speltdooren have known each other for years. They regularly collaborate on projects—Bilquin as an architect, Speltdooren as the managing director of total contractor Bouw-iD. Recently, the duo completed a remarkable family home on the banks of the Leie in Deinze, Belgium. The result is a masterclass in control and precision, inspired by nature, where each space offers a different experience. “It’s a house with multiple dimensions, where at times you see a lot, and at times very little.”
